How to store brownie mix cookies?

This recipe was tested using Duncan Hines dark chocolate fudge brownies, the 2 & ½ tablespoon of flour work perfectly with this brand of brownies. This recipe also uses a medium/large egg which sits at about 50 grams. If you use an egg that’s bigger than that, your dough will automatically be runnier. If you notice that your batter is too thin, add ½-1 tablespoon flour. You want the cookie dough to have a playdough texture.Nutrition

This is the second time I’ve made these – exactly as written. They are perfect!! Fyi – I used Aldi brand brownie mix, chocolate chips and instant coffee because that’s what I had and they are amazing! They freeze well and I just put some in the freezer to have on 4th of July with the family along with homemade ice cream. Thanks so much!
Chahinez
Ooo nice! It’s gonna be a great 4th then ☺
Schel
Delicious, but definitely need more flour. At least 1/4-1/3 cup, they are like pancakes otherwise. Much better with more flour. Nice and rounded with more flour.
Chahinez
Thank you for trying out the recipe!

Yummy! Underbaking is key. The easiest recipe I’ve made in a long time.

How do these turn out if I freeze some dough for another day?
Chahinez
I have never frozen the batter before baking so my guess is that they will spread less.
Lydia
These were so easy to make and the batch size was perfect for my small family. Currently pregnant and these satisfied every chocolate craving I had. Not too sweet, chewy like a cookie and soft like a brownie.
Chahinez
That sounds wonderful! Glad to hear you enjoy them.

This recipe tasted so yummy but my cookies were very flat and spread out. Do you have any suggestions for me on how I could improve this?
Chahinez
Try adding ½-1 tablespoon flour. On the bottom of the recipe card in the Notes section, I have more information on why the cookies was thin as well 🙂
