  • Cocoa powder–  Use high quality cocoa powder for the best flavor.

Follow these instructions to make your own Starbucks- inspired drink:

  1. Make the chocolate cream cold foam: Combine the heavy cream, milk, vanilla syrup, cocoa powder, and malted milk powder in a bowl or cup. Froth the mixture with a handheld milk frother until it doubles in volume.

Don’t worry! If you don’t have a hand frother, place the sweet cream ingredients in a little mason jar and shake, shake, and shake again until the mixture thickness. Just keep in mind that the sweet cream made with a hand frother is a lot more resemblant to the Starbucks sweet cream.

Yes, but it won’t be the exact same since you won’t be able to use the cream, milk, or even the malted milk powder. You can use whatever dairy-free milk of choice, think almond milk, oat milk, or even soy milk in place of the regular milk and coconut cream instead of the heavy cream.

To get that malt flavor, you can use a tiny bit of maca powder to mimic that flavor as well.just enough to enjoy it. Of course, you can double or triple this recipe if you’re making coffee for a crowd.

Ingredients  

  • 3/4 cup Cold brew
  • 1/2-1 tbsp vanilla syrup to taste, add more if you like it sweet, add less if you don't.

Instructions 

  • Combine the heavy cream, milk, vanilla syrup, cocoa powder, and malted milk powder in a cup.
  • Froth using a hand help frother until it doubles in volume.
  • Pour your ice in a serving glass, I used my Newair nugget ice.
  • Top with cold brew and a little vanilla syrup to taste, leaving about 1 inch off the top or enough room to top the old brew with the chocolate cream foam.

    This is a delicious recipe. However, I think that it tastes more like the Starbucks’ recipe by adding more cocoa and less malt. I actually trade the amounts of the two and it tastes much more like the original and is definitely tastier to me.
