Frequently asked questions – FAQ
How to store these chocolate jam cluster?
These chocolate truffles can be stored in an airtight container in the freezer for up to 2 weeks. Whenever you get the craving for something sweet and chocolatey, all you’d have to do is pull them out of the freezer and enjoy!
Can I use frozen raspberries?
Of course! I know that fresh raspberries aren’t always available and when they are, they might be very expensive so the next best option would be the frozen version. I would recommend putting those frozen raspberries in a microwave-safe bowl and microwaving them for a few seconds to thaw them just enough to soften them. This way when it comes to mashing them together with a fork, you’ll have a much easier time.
Can I use different fruits in this recipe?
You sure can! I like to use a combination of fruit or berries sometimes in this recipe because they tend to mash similarly to raspberries. You just want to use something that would release enough liquid so that the chia seeds have something to absorb. Think blueberries or even blackberries!
How can I elevate these sweet bites?
One of my favorite things to do is add a spoonful of peanut butter on top of the raspberry jam dollops before freezing. That way after you dip them in the melted chocolate chips, you get a peanut butter and jelly vibe and it is the most delicious thing EVER!
Can I use a different chocolate?
You can use whatever chocolate you prefer. I like dark chocolate because it pairs so well with the raspberry jam. You could use milk chocolate as well as white chocolate to coat the frozen jam.
Can these be made vegan?
The jam is already vegan, the only thing you would have to worry about would be using dairy-free chocolate to coat the treats in.
