Tools you will need for this recipe
- A good blender– I used this nutribullet, but I would suggest getting the vitamix. It’s even better!
Ingredients to make this mango orange smoothie recipe
This mango orange smoothie recipe only requires 2 ingredients and a liquid. you will need:
- Navel oranges
- Very ripe frozen mangos– If you don’t care for this smoothie being nice and thick you can use fruit that is not frozen. I personally like thick smoothie so I either freeze my fruit or add a bit of ice. The ice might dilute the drink, so you can add a little honey or maple syrup to sweeten it again.
- Water or coconut water
How can I supercharge this smoothie?
This mango smoothie is so so healthy on it’s own but you can always add more things to supercharge it. Some of the ingredients you could add to make it even more healthy can be:
- Turmeric– The anti viral and anti bacterial properties of turmeric will help fight off infections. So add in ¼ teaspoon to your smoothie and reap the benefits 🙂
- Ginger– Ginger has properties that help relieve a sore throat quickly while killing the virus that caused the cold.
- Yogurt- This will help you get in more probiotics which helps support your immune system as well!
- Carrot juice- Add in a little bit of carrot juice to this smoothie to increase the antioxidants which help your body fight free radicals, inflammation and cell damage.

I am not a doctor, this drink has helped me get rid of a cold in its tracks but might not work for everyone. Proper nutrition and rest is required to get rid of the sickness so always check with your doctor if you are not sure about anything health related!
