This is how you can make fun Halloween treats. Make sure to scroll down to the recipe card for the full detailed instructions!

  1. The easiest way to make this is to melt the milk, dark, or semisweet chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl in 30-second intervals.
  2. Pour the melted chocolate over a parchment paper-lined baking sheet.
  3. Spread evenly until you reach your desired thickness.
  4. Add dollops of white chocolate to the bark.
  5. Using a toothpick, drag the white chocolate down to make the tail of your ghost shapes. You can also use a sharp knife’s tip for this.
  6. Using a toothpick again, dip it in the dark chocolate, or whatever chocolate you are using and add the eyes and the mouth.
  7. Clean and repeat this process until you are satisfied with how your bark looks.
  8. Add the sprinkles, then chill in the fridge for an hour or until it solidifies.
  9. Slice and enjoy!

Feel free to melt your chocolate in a double boiler as well if you don’t have a microwave.

Frequently Asked Questions – FAQ

How to store these easy Halloween treats?

You can store this in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week but I always recommend placing it in the fridge for up to 2 weeks to minimize the risk of anything melting off if your kitchen is too warm.

Can I freeze this bark?

Absolutely! You can freeze this bark in an airtight container in the freezer for up to 2 months.

What is the best way to break Halloween ghost bark?

Since we have cute little ghosts here it’s a little finicky because we don’t want to destroy all the hard work we put in. If it were regular bark I would say just break into it, it’s so fun to hear it crack!

In this case, use a sharp knife to slice pieces keeping the little ghosts intact.

Can I use different colored chocolate for the base?

Absolutely!

This recipe is so versatile and can be tweaked to your liking. Use whatever you have to create the style that you really want or need. Don’t forget to let me know how they turned out in the comments below!
