Pink doughnut cookies, I mean how crazy does that sound?!! Imagine biting into the cutest little (or should I say huge, since the Crumbl cookies are so big) hitting that layer or pink vanilla glaze then that buttery cookie. It’ll play quite the trick on you I would even go as far as saying it’ll remind you of that show “is it cake?” on Netflix.

This is the best Crumbl Pink Donut Cookies

If you do a quick search online, you’ll notice that most of these pink donut cookies are more of a crispy, thinner sugar cookie type but sometimes that’s not what you want and that’s why this recipe is so special.

It yields a thicker more buttery and chewy cookie that will satisfy those who aren’t that into crunchy cookies!

Ingredients for this Crumbl Pink Donut Cookies

Here are the ingredients you will need to make this__. Make sure to scroll down to the recipe card for the full detailed ingredient measurements.

  • Butter- You can use either salted or unsalted butter as long as it’s softened.
  • Brown & granulated sugar– The cookie base uses a mix of sugars to give it that perfect texture.
  • Egg– The egg is our binding agent here. Make sure to use an egg at room temperature.
  • Butter vanilla emulsion– The butter vanilla flavoring is what. I used it for the cookie base to give them that iconic Crumbl buttery cookie flavor.
  • Flour– AP flour will work great for this recipe.
  • Salt– Always use a little salt in your baked goods to balance out the sweetness of the recipe.
  • Baking powder– The baking powder will add a little height to the cookies.
  • Powdered sugar– The powdered sugar is the base of our glaze.
  • Pink gel food coloring– I use the Wilton pink gel food coloring, starting with a little at a time until the desired color is reached.
  • Milk– A little milk is used to thin out the glaze for our donut cookies.
  • Rainbow sprinkles I love how rainbow sprinkles look on these cookies but you can use whatever sprinkles you like.

Ingredients

sugar Cookie base

  • 1/2 cup butter softened
  • 1/3 cup granulated sugar
  • 3 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 egg at room temperature
  • 2 tsp butter vanilla emulsion Use regular vanilla instead if you don't have this but I highly suggest you grab a bottle.
  • 1 & 1/2 cup all purpose flour
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp baking powder

Pink glaze

  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1-2 tbsp milk start with 1 tbsp
  • pink food coloring add a little at a time until you get the desired color
  • rainbow sprinkles

Instructions

Make the sugar cookie base

  • Preheat the oven to 350F then line a baking sheet with parchement paper and set it aside.
  • Cream the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar together until smooth and creamy.
  • Whisk in the egg, the butter vanilla emulsion, butter flavoring (optional), and mix until combined.
  • Mix in the flour, baking powder, salt until the flour mixture disappears. Don't overmix your dough. Then using a large cookie scooper scoop out 6 equally sized cookie dough balls, place them on the prepared baking sheet, and gently flatten them to about 1/2 inch in thickness.
  • Bake the cookies in the oven for 10 minutes, then let them cool down on the baking sheet for 10-15 minutes before transferring to a cooling rack to cool down fully.
  • Once cool, using a small circle cookie cutter, cut a hole in the center to make them look like a donut. Keep the centers and dip them in the glaze as well to make donut hole cookies.

Make the pink glaze

  • In a small bowl, whisk the powdered sugar, milk, and pink gel food coloring together until the glaze is thin enough to glaze the cookie but not so thin that it will run off of the cookies as soon as you top them with it.
  • If the glaze is too thick add 1/4 tbsp milk at a time and stir again.
  • Dip the top of the cookies in the pink glaze, set on a baking sheet or a cooling rack, and sprinkle with rainbow sprinkles. Let them set for a little and enjoy!

can we add cream 50gm in place of 1egg,plz suggest

      1. Chahinez says:

No, 50 g of cream won’t work in place of an egg for this recipe. The cookies will spread and lack structure. If you need an egg substitute, use 50 g applesauce, 60 g yogurt, or a flax egg instead. Just know that the texture will be different.

  2. Melissa says:

When I make these they want to expand not leaving a hole. Tips?

    1. Chahinez says:

That can happen if you’re dough is too warm. Chill the shaped cookies for 30–60 minutes before baking and make the center holes larger than you think you’ll need. That way they’ll still be visible after baking.

Love these cookies! And such a good cookie base to use for other types! I didn’t have a cookie cutter, so I used the lid from a vanilla extract bottle, and it still turned out perfectly!
