I have loved savory Pillsbury crescent roll appetizers ever since I was a little kid! They are so easy to make (yup, I used to make them with my mom as a little kid) and devour them of course, the second they come out of the oven.

There’s beauty in making your dough from scratch. But there is also a certain beauty in being able to pop a can of dough open and make whatever you want, then have that be ready in less than 30 minutes.

Need quick appetizers? Want a little something something to snack on? these ground beef crescent rolls are gonna become your go to’s, I promise!

These are our favorite stuffed ground beef crescent rolls ever!

These are my personal favorite stuffed Pillsbury crescent rolls because they use pantry staples, think Velveeta processed cheese and canned rotel tomatoes.

If you’re like me, you might also have some ground beef stored in the freezer for days where you need it. I am here to tell you that this is it. You need to thaw it and make this for your family.

Ingredients in these Rotel ground beef crescent rolls

To make this stuffed crescent roll recipe, you will need the following ingredients:

  • Rotel dip- We used the leftovers from when we made our Cheese Rotel Dip Recipe but Better! This is the perfect way to use your leftover cheese dips.
  • Crescent rolls– We used canned Pillsbury crescent rolls for this recipe.
  • Heavy cream or egg wash– The heavy cream or the egg wash are for brushing the rolls before we bake them so that they turn golden brown.

When I say this recipe is easy, I am not bluffing. It only requires a few ingredients and takes a plain old rotel dip and turns it into the best game day appetizer ever. We actually make this fairly often and enjoy it with a large cup of soup for the tastiest weeknight dinner recipe.

Substitutions?

The beauty of this recipe is that you can use whatever cheese filling you have. Made an artichoke dip and have leftovers? Stuff that in there.

Do you have some crab and shrimp dip leftover in the fridge? Well, it will go so well in these Pillsbury crescent rolls. No one will complain about leftovers this way!

How to make these Pillsbury ground beef crescent rolls with cheesy ground beef?

  1. Start by preheating the oven to 350F, then line a baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside.
  2. On your working surface, unroll the crescent rolls and separate into triangles. Make a ½ cm slit on the widest side of the triangle’s edge then add 1 tablespoon of Rotel dip.

  1. Roll the wide end to the smaller tip of the crescent making sure to tuck any side that isn’t tight and secure. Place the croissants on the prepared baking sheet and brush with the heavy cream.
  2. Bake in the oven for 15 minutes, making sure to rotate the pan halfway through to make sure all the croissants are golden brown.
  3. Serve immediately.

What if I don’t have leftover Rotel dip?

If you don’t have leftover rotel dip, you can quickly make the filling, then let it cool completely so that you can scoop it and fill the crescent rolls.

To make a small batch Rotel dip for this recipe you will need:

  • 4 ounces ground beef
  • 4 ounces Velveeta cheese
  • 2 ounces Rotel tomatoes

Cook the ground beed on a hot pan until no longer pink, drain the fat off then add in the Velveeta and the tomatoes. Stir until fully melted, then cool down completely so that the mixture hardens and is easily scoop-able.
