Since this is a single-serve recipe, you probably wonโ€™t have leftovers! But if you do, store your cookie in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 4 days. Warm it in the microwave for a few seconds to make it gooey again and enjoy it with a scoop of ice cream!

Can I use different mix-ins in my cookie?

  • Swap chocolate chips forย chocolate chunks.
  • Useย dark chocolate, milk chocolate, or white chocolate chips.
  • Addย walnuts, pecans, or hazelnutsย for crunch.
  • Tryย white chocolate chips and dried cranberriesย for a festive twist.

  • Yourย butter might have been too soft,ย try chilling the dough for 5-10 minutes before baking next time.
  • You may haveย flattened the dough too muchย before baking, keep it in a mound to ensure a thick cookie.

Can I freeze this cookie?

Yes! Wrap the baked cookie in plastic wrap and aluminum foil, then freeze for up to 2 months. When ready to eat, thaw at room temperature or microwave for a warm, gooey treat.

Tips for the Best Single-Serve Chocolate Chip Cookieย

  • Enjoy warmย – The melty chocolate + soft center = pure happiness!
  • Brown sugar = more flavorย – Adds caramel notes and keeps the cookie soft.
  • Donโ€™t overmixย – Mixing too much can make the cookie tough.
  • Bake just until the edges setย – The center should still look slightly underbaked for a gooey bite.
  • Use high-quality chocolateย – Real chocolate chunks or chips make all the difference!
  • Sprinkle with flaky saltย – It enhances the chocolate flavor and makes your cookie taste gourmet.

Great dessert, although I will say that it came out looking like a soft and chewy chocolate chip cookie. I added some more chocolate chips on top for a cookie look and it made it so much better.

    Egg replacement?

    1. Chahinez says:

Unfortunately I haven’t tried this recipe with an egg replacement option.

  3. Taylor Williams says:

How much corn starch should I use? From reading the post I saw that cornstarch makes it more chewy but in the recipe it doesnโ€™t say.

    1. Chahinez says:

      No cornstarch needed here :)!

Hi Stephanie! You can, just watch the cookie because the time of baking change depending on how strong your air fryer is ๐Ÿ™‚

      1. Selena says:

Fav cookie recipe found, EVER. How can I make this a big batch? What happens if I use a whole egg?

      2. Chahinez says:

So glad to hear that thank you! Using a whole egg will make the dough too wet and will change the texture. Since the dry ingredients are measured to match the egg yolk amount used, I would just press the x2 or x3 button the recipe card and follow along with that to make a bigger batch ๐Ÿ™‚
