This is the best Starbucks white chocolate mocha recipe

White chocolate anything is the way to my heart and I’m guessing to yours too so adding that goodness of a sauce to your coffee drink is probably the best thing to do!

This recipe makes a delicious cold coffee to enjoy on a hot summer day but it will also show you how to make a hot drink for holiday season.

What does the Starbucks white mocha taste like?

Starbucks White Mocha is a sweet and creamy espresso-based drink made with espresso shots, steamed milk, and white chocolate sauce. The white chocolate sauce gives the drink its signature sweetness and creaminess, while the espresso provides a slightly bitter flavor to balance it out. Overall, the drink has a rich and indulgent taste with a smooth, velvety texture. If you like sweet, creamy drinks with a hint of coffee flavor, you will likely enjoy the Starbucks White Mocha.

When served iced, the White Mocha is served over ice and can be customized with additional flavors like vanilla or caramel syrup. The colder temperature of the iced version makes it a refreshing and indulgent option for warmer weather.

Why you need to make this recipe!

  • This recipe is made with just a few simple ingredients.

  • This recipe shows you how to make an iced mocha and a hot one as well.
  • You will be able to make this drink with regular shots of espresso and other substitutions in case if you do not have an espresso machine.

Frequently asked questions – FAQ

What are some ways to take this drink to the next level?

Here are a few of my favorite ways to turn this rich white chocolate mocha latte into something even better:

  • Top it with cold foam.
  • Add a drizzle of
  • Add a little peppermint extract for a peppermint white chocolate holiday season drink.
  • Mix in some sweet cream in there for a more decadent white chocolate drink.
  • Top it with whipped cream and some white chocolate shavings.

How to store leftover white chocolate mocha drinks?

If you do not finish your hot or cold drinks, all you have to do is place them in an airtight container like a mason jar with the lid closed tightly and store them in the fridge for up to 3 days.

When it comes to storing the iced drink, make sure to remove the ice from it before storing it to keep it from getting too watered down.

Once you are ready to enjoy them again, heat up the hot mocha drink in a frother, over the stove on low heat, or in the microwave. For the iced one just add ice and enjoy!

How do I make this drink sweeter?

You have two options to make this drink a little sweeter. The first option is to add more white chocolate mocha sauce. The next option is to add a little vanilla syrup to balance out the white chocolate sauce and give it a nice hint of sweetness.

Can I make this drink vegan?

Yes, you can make this drink vegan by using non-dairy milks like:

  • Almond milk
  • Soy milk
  • Oat milk

You would also have to make your own white chocolate mocha sauce by combining coconut cream, dairy-free white chocolate, and coconut-sweetened condensed milk. I do not have an exact recipe for this but you can take a look at my homemade white chocolate sauce and substitute ingredients from there.

WHAT CAN I DO IF I DON’T HAVE AN ESPRESSO MACHINE?

If you don’t have an espresso machine you can always use instant coffee with a little hot water to mimic the espresso or use an Italian espresso maker which is a simple $10 espresso maker that you can use on the stovetop.
