Crockpot candy is the easiest holiday treat you’ll ever make, rich, chocolatey peanut clusters that come together right in your slow cooker with almost zero effort. With sweet and salty peanuts coated in smooth melted chocolate, these little clusters taste like something you’d buy in a gourmet Christmas tin, but they’re incredibly simple to make at home.
If you need a no-fuss dessert for gifting, holiday parties, cookie boxes, or last-minute cravings, this crockpot candy recipe delivers every time. One batch makes a huge amount, the texture is perfect, and the flavor is absolutely addictive. Trust me I probably had 10 the first day I made them!!!!
These would be great paired in a cookie box with these peppermint chocolate chip cookies, Little Debbies christmas tree cake truffles, as well as these Christmas crack brown butter cookies.

Let’s Chit Chat!
This time of year, all I want are easy wins in the kitchen, recipes that feel festive but won’t stress me out. Between holiday baking, content deadlines, keeping the house running, and taking care of everything while my husband’s ankle heals, I just don’t have space for complicated candy-making.
That’s why crockpot candy is such a gift. You throw everything in the slow cooker, let it melt while you live your life, scoop little clusters, add sprinkles, and suddenly you look like you spent hours making holiday candy.
They’re nostalgic, sweet-salty, unbelievably easy, and somehow the treat everyone asks me to make again every year.

- Semi-sweet chocolate chips
- Honey roasted peanuts
- Salted roasted peanuts
- Holiday sprinkles (or any festive sprinkles you love)
How to Make Crockpot Candy
- Prep your trays: Line 2–3 large baking sheets with parchment or wax paper. You can alternatively use a mini muffin tin and line it with Christmas cupcake liners.
- Layer the chocolate: Add the peanuts, almond bark, German chocolate, and chocolate chips to your slow cooker.
- Melt: Cook on slow cooker mode on LOW for 1 hour, then stir. Continue heating in 15–30 minute intervals until completely smooth.

- Scoop the clusters: Switch to WARM, then drop tablespoon-sized clusters onto your prepared baking sheets or into the cupcake liners.
- Add sprinkles: Top each cluster with holiday sprinkles while the chocolate is still wet.

- Let them set: Cool at room temperature for 1–2 hours, or refrigerate for 30–45 minutes until firm.
- Store: Keep in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 weeks or refrigerate for up to 1 month.

Flavor Variations
- Add crushed pretzels for crunch
- Use mixed nuts instead of peanuts. Think cashews, pecans, or even almonds
- Stir in mini marshmallows for a Rocky Road vibe
- Add peppermint pieces or crushed candy cane
How to Store Crockpot Candy
- Room temperature: Up to 2 weeks in an airtight container
- Fridge: Up to 1 month
- Freezer: Up to 3 months (thaw before serving)
These stay fresh for so long, that’s why I love them so much when it comes to prepping ahead of the holiday season.
Crockpot Candy Tips for Success
- Keep your crockpot on LOW only, high heat scorches chocolate
- Stir after the first hour and every 15–30 minutes
- Heat up a little more or add some coconut oil in there to thin out a bit
- If clusters spread, let mixture cool 5–10 minutes before scooping
- A 1 tablespoon cookie scoop gives clean, uniform clusters
Troubleshooting
Chocolate too thick? Heat up your mixture a little more.
Chocolate seized or grainy? A tiny bit of water got in, coconut oil may help smooth it back out.
Clusters not setting? Pop trays in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.

Yes, just cut all ingredients in half and follow the same steps after that.

Crock Pot Chocolate Peanut Clusters
Equipment
Ingredients
- 2 lbs vanilla almond bark broken into pieces
- 4 oz German chocolate bar broken into pieces
- 16 oz honey roasted peanuts
- 16 oz salted roasted peanuts
- 12 oz semi-sweet chocolate chips
- Holiday sprinkles for topping
Instructions
- Line 2-3 large baking sheets with parchment paper or wax paper. Set aside.
- Break the vanilla almond bark and German chocolate bar into pieces and place them in your slow cooker/crock pot, add chocolate chips, and peanuts. You don't need to grease the crock pot.2 lbs vanilla almond bark, 4 oz German chocolate bar, 16 oz honey roasted peanuts, 12 oz semi-sweet chocolate chips, 16 oz salted roasted peanuts
- Cover and cook on LOW for 1 hour. After 1 hour, check and stir. The chocolate should be mostly melted. If not, cover and cook for another 15-30 minutes, checking every 15 minutes. Switch the crock pot to WARM setting. This keeps the chocolate fluid so you can take your time scooping.
- Using a small cookie scoop or two spoons, drop tablespoon-sized clusters onto the prepared baking sheets. Work relatively quickly, but the warm setting gives you flexibility.
- Immediately sprinkle holiday sprinkles on top of each cluster while the chocolate is still wet. The sprinkles will stick better if you do this right after forming each cluster.Holiday sprinkles for topping
- Allow the clusters to set at room temperature for 1-2 hours, or refrigerate for 30-45 minutes to speed up the process.
- Once fully set, store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 weeks, or refrigerate for up to 1 month.
Notes
Recipe Note: Using a Mini Muffin Tin
If you prefer more uniform clusters, scoop the melted chocolate, peanut mixture into a mini muffin tin lined with paper liners instead of dropping them onto a baking sheet. This keeps the candy perfectly shaped, prevents spreading, and makes them extra cute (and mess-free!) for gifting.Nutrition
