Instructions

  • Line 2-3 large baking sheets with parchment paper or wax paper. Set aside.
  • Break the vanilla almond bark and German chocolate bar into pieces and place them in your slow cooker/crock pot, add chocolate chips, and peanuts. You don't need to grease the crock pot.
2 lbs vanilla almond bark, 4 oz German chocolate bar, 16 oz honey roasted peanuts, 12 oz semi-sweet chocolate chips, 16 oz salted roasted peanuts
  • Cover and cook on LOW for 1 hour. After 1 hour, check and stir. The chocolate should be mostly melted. If not, cover and cook for another 15-30 minutes, checking every 15 minutes. Switch the crock pot to WARM setting. This keeps the chocolate fluid so you can take your time scooping.
  • Using a small cookie scoop or two spoons, drop tablespoon-sized clusters onto the prepared baking sheets. Work relatively quickly, but the warm setting gives you flexibility.
  • Immediately sprinkle holiday sprinkles on top of each cluster while the chocolate is still wet. The sprinkles will stick better if you do this right after forming each cluster.

  • Allow the clusters to set at room temperature for 1-2 hours, or refrigerate for 30-45 minutes to speed up the process.
  • Once fully set, store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 weeks, or refrigerate for up to 1 month.

Notes

Recipe Note: Using a Mini Muffin Tin

If you prefer more uniform clusters, scoop the melted chocolate, peanut mixture into a mini muffin tin lined with paper liners instead of dropping them onto a baking sheet. This keeps the candy perfectly shaped, prevents spreading, and makes them extra cute (and mess-free!) for gifting.
