Brownie Mix in a Jar recipe ingredients

Ingredients for this homemade Brownie mix in a jar

Here are the ingredients you will need to make this jar of brownie mix. Make sure to scroll down to the recipe card at the bottom of the post for the detailed ingredient measurements.

  • All-Purpose Flour: is the base of the brownies and provides them with structure.
  • Salt: enhances the rich chocolate flavor and balances the sugar.
  • Baking Powder: is the leavening agent that gives the brownies a slight lift and fudgy texture.
  • Unsweetened Cocoa Powder: is where the deep, rich chocolate flavor comes from. Try black or extra dark cocoa powder for a uniquely tasty flavor.
  • Granulated Sugar: adds sweetness and helps create that classic crackly brownie top.
  • Brown Sugar: keeps the brownies moist and adds a slight caramel-like flavor.
  • Chocolate Chips or Chunks: melt into the batter. They create pockets of gooey, melty goodness throughout the brownies.
