Maple cinnamon roll cookies Crumbl copycat

Every time Crumbl brings out a new cinnamon roll cookie, I can’t contain my joy. I mean it’s made with the most delicious and buttery cookie base, topped with cinnamon sugar and the best frosting of your life.

My mission when I try to recreate these cinnamon roll cookies is to make them even better than the real thing and this time yet again, I think we succeeded. But hey I’ll let you be the judge of that!

For this recipe, crumbl only put maple syrup in the frosting but I wanted to go a step ahead to make this cookie even better. I added a little bit of cinnamon to our cookie dough because it goes so well with the maple frosting.

Now if you would like an even stronger maple flavor, you can even add a few drops of maple flavoring into the cookie dough to bring it full circle

Exactly the same as crumbl but better so good! Chefs kiss

  2. Cathrine says:

Why does it say, “2 & 1 cup of flour” in the ingredient list for the base? What does this mean? 3 cups of flour?

    1. Chahinez says:

Yes that’s 3 cups. It’s because the original recipe calls 1 and 1/2 cups of flour. But you doubled, and that feature of the of the recipe card just multiplies what it sees without combining the two together. So it means 3.

These were the first cookies I made after moving into our new house. So good. Soft, moist, and a great balance of flavors. They are a fair amount of work since there are three separate components to make, but are absolutely worth it. Will be making them again for sure.

Disclaimer: I couldnโ€™t wait to eat these so I didnโ€™t let them cool! My frosting was pretty runny and not very maple-y. Maybe user error? I wouldnโ€™t say itโ€™s an exact replica of the crumbl one, but itโ€™s really freaking good!

    1. Chahinez says:

That’s why it’s important to let it cool so it won’t be runny! I’m glad you enjoyed it though ๐Ÿ˜Š
