Crumbl golden Oreo cookies

This Crumbl Original cookie featuring the golden Oreo cookies is an absolute banger! It came out the same week as the Crumbl Funfetti Milkshake Cookies copycat, and let me tell you!! It was insane. You can literally taste the golden oreo with every bite, add that sweet cream cheese frosting on top and we had a winner.

On the other hand, I really did feel that the Golden Oreo cookie plus the frosting from the Crumbl bakery was way too sweet. It almost burnt because of how sweet it was so leave that to me to turn it into the best cookie ever! I reduced the amount of sugar and increased the Oreos, AKA winning!

This is the best Crumbl golden oreo cookie recipe ever!

This chewy Golden oreo cookie is made using crushed-up Oreos in the cookie dough as well to really give you that Golden Oreo flavor that you love so much. I truly believe that that’s the thing that makes this cookie so superior to many other ones they made at their store.

Now you can finally recreate it at home, anytime, any day! No need to wait months for it to come back in stores 🙂

Why you need to make this recipe!

  • These Crumbl golden Oreo cookies are not as sweet as the OG ones. It’s all about balance over here.
  • They are busting with golden Oreo flavors!
  • Each cookie tastes good with or without the cream cheese frosting on top.
  • With this recipe you will be able to enjoy some of your favorite cookies year round.
  • They are simple to make and don’t require any chilling.

Ingredients

  • 10 Golden Oreos Ground to a flour consistency, regular Oreos not double stuffed
  • 1 cup + 3 tablespoon flour
  • 1 tablespoon corn starch
  • ¾ teaspoon baking soda
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • 1 stick butter softened
  • ¼ cup granulated sugar
  • 3 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 8 golden Oreos roughly chopped
  • ½ cup white chocolate chips

Cream cheese frosting

  • 5 tablespoon butter softened
  • 5 oz cream cheese softened
  • 1& ½ cup powdered sugar
  • ½-1 tablespoon heavy cream
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350F then line a baking sheet with parchement paper and set aside.
  • In a food processor, grind the 10 Oreos until finely crushed, they will have a flour consistency. In a medium bowl, mix the crushed oreos, flour, corn starch, baking soda, and salt then set aside.
  • In a stand mixer bowl, cream the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and creamy.
  • Add in the egg and the vanilla and mix again to combine. Scrape the sides of the bowl and mix again one more time.
  • Add in the dry mixture, and gently fold just until the dry mixture disappears. Fold in the roughly chopped Oreos and the white chocolate chips.
  • Using a large cookie scoop, scoop out 10 equally sized cookie dough balls, gently flatten them to about ¾-1 inch in thickness and bake in the preheated oven for 9-10 minutes.
  • Let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for 10 minutes before transferring them to a cooling rack.

Make the cream cheese frosting

  • Cream the butter and cream cheese together until smooth then add in the powdered sugar, ½ tablespoon of heavy cream, and vanilla. Whip together until light and fluffy. This will take about 5-8 minutes of whipping on medium speed. Add the other ½ tablespoon of heavy cream if the frosting seems too thick.
  • If the frosting is too thin, pop it in the fridge for 10-15 minutes then whip again.
  • Pipe the frosting on the cookies, then top with extra crushed Oreos, and a mini Oreo in the middle if you'd like and enjoy!

I made these cookies yesterday and they were super soft and chewy! They were really good fresh out of the oven but were even better a few hours after.
The taste also reminds me of Subway’s white chocolate macadamia nut cookies (which are my favorite)! Will definitely be making again!

I have tried this recipe twice without any luck. They spread out like pancakes, I tried a little extra flour, chilling the dough. What am I doing wrong?

The only time these cookies would spread is when using double stuffed Oreos instead of regular stuffed Oreos. The moisture from the double filling will make these cookies spread too much. Hope this helped!

That’s so weird. Definitely chill the cookies then.

If you’re using European butter instead of regular butter that may be why🙂

Hi! I’m wondering if you put whole Oreos (including the frosting) into the food processor, or if you scrape the frosting off and only use the cracker. Thanks for the recipe!

You put the whole Oreo in the food processor! Make sure to use regular stuffed and not double stuffed.
