This Crumbl Original cookie featuring the golden Oreo cookies is an absolute banger! It came out the same week as the Crumbl Funfetti Milkshake Cookies copycat, and let me tell you!! It was insane. You can literally taste the golden oreo with every bite, add that sweet cream cheese frosting on top and we had a winner.

On the other hand, I really did feel that the Golden Oreo cookie plus the frosting from the Crumbl bakery was way too sweet. It almost burnt because of how sweet it was so leave that to me to turn it into the best cookie ever! I reduced the amount of sugar and increased the Oreos, AKA winning!

This chewy Golden oreo cookie is made using crushed-up Oreos in the cookie dough as well to really give you that Golden Oreo flavor that you love so much. I truly believe that that’s the thing that makes this cookie so superior to many other ones they made at their store.

Now you can finally recreate it at home, anytime, any day! No need to wait months for it to come back in stores ๐Ÿ™‚

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350F then line a baking sheet with parchement paper and set aside.
  • In a food processor, grind the 10 Oreos until finely crushed, they will have a flour consistency. In a medium bowl, mix the crushed oreos, flour, corn starch, baking soda, and salt then set aside.
  • In a stand mixer bowl, cream the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and creamy.
  • Add in the egg and the vanilla and mix again to combine. Scrape the sides of the bowl and mix again one more time.

This will take about 5-8 minutes of whipping on medium speed. Add the other 1/2 tablespoon of heavy cream if the frosting seems too thick.
  • If the frosting is too thin, pop it in the fridge for 10-15 minutes then whip again.
