Frequently asked questions – FAQ

How to store leftover Ninja creami chocolate ice cream and how to enjoy it later?

The great thing about this machine is that if you have any leftover ice cream, you can just keep it in its container in the freezer with the lid tightly closed for up to 1 month.

With regular churn ice creams or more traditional ice cream recipes, you won’t have to do any work before enjoying them once they have been in the fridge but with the ninja creami since it goes through a different process you would have to spin it in the machine to get that perfect texture again. It is a quick and simple process that will yield indulgent treats in no time!

Can I use a sugar substitute in this recipe to make a low calorie ice cream?

You definitely can! But that won’t automatically make this ice cream low-calorie because we are using heavy cream in the base of our ice cream. But by using a sugar substitute you will be able to make a keto-friendly decadent treat that would work for that diet plan.

For something a little more low-calorie you might want to try the Fairlife chocolate protein shake ice cream which is pretty much freezing the protein shake in the container and then blending it until it turns into ice cream. It is delicious and a lot healthier!

can I use chocolate milk to make ice cream in the ninja creami?

You sure can! Using chocolate milk to make this ice cream will not exactly yield the same dessert but it will still be a tasty treat nonetheless.

Keep in mind that the higher the fat percentage in your ice cream ingredients the more of a creamy texture you will get in your final result.

We LOVED the vanilla recipe, and the chocolate recipe is good – just with a sweet-toothed home we need a bit more sweetness. Any suggestions? Otherwise, this recipe is FANTASTIC, as is the vanilla!!!! Thank you!!!

can I substitute powdered sugar for granulated sugar?

    1. Chahinez says:

I wouldn’t just because they’re so different. You can use other sweeteners though in place of granulated sugar.
