I know that’s a big statement but when you’re running around the kitchen trying to get all the cookies ready for your Christmas cookie boxes, balancing out oven baking times, and trying to stay hydrated, these come in so handy.

They take a very short time to make, and while they’re chilling in the freezer you can focus on making something else like one of my Crumbl Cookies copycat recipes.

The first time I tried golden Oreos, I was hooked. They were very similar to another Algerian cookie I had had in the past and I just couldn’t get enough. It reminded me of home and that’s all that mattered.

Now, to take it up a notch, I decided to transform a staple into a Christmas essential! Believe it or not, I make these every year because everyone is obsessed with them.

  • Golden Oreo You will need regular golden Oreos an dnot the double stuffed ones.
  • Cream cheese– Use full fat cream cheese that has been slightly softened to mix with the crushed up Oreos.
  • White chocolate– Make sure to use some really good quality white chocolate for best flavor.

What are golden Oreos?

Golden Oreos are the vanilla version of the OG chocolate Oreos cookies. They are pretty much a vanilla sandwich cookie that has no chocolate in it.

How to make Golden Oreo cookies

This is how you can make Oreo truffles. Make sure to scroll down to the recipe card for the full detailed instructions!

  1. Pulse the oreos in a food processor until crumbly. You will want to crush cookies and fillings as well.
  2. Mix the crushed oreos and the cream cheese with a hand mixer or a stand mixer.
  3. Roll 30 equally sized truffle balls, place them on a parchment lined baking sheet and freeze for 30-60 minutes or until the balls are solid. This will help keep th etruffles intact as you dip them in chocolate.
  4. Melt the chocolate and oil in a medium bowl in the microwave in 30 second increments, stirring between each time.
  5. Dip the Oreo balls in the melted chocolate and roll it around to coat with a fork or a chocolate dippin tool then pul it out.
  6. Gently shake off the excess chocolate and place the golden Oreo truffles back on the prepared baking sheet. Sprinkle with some crushed up Oreos, or sprinkles while the chocolate is still wet, or drizzle with more melted chocolate and chill in the fridge for at least 10 minutes to set again.
  7. Keep these truffles in the refrigirated at all times, but you can keep them fresh in the fridge for up to 6 days.

  • Use softened cream cheese Using softened cram cheese will make it easier to get a smooth dough when mixing with the Oreo Crumbs.
  • Don’t skip the chilling – Freezing the Oreo balls in essential to making these truffles. It will help keep the balls intact when dipping them in the warm melted chocolate. Definitely don’t skip this step!
  • Work in batches when dipping in the chocolate– The Oreo balls can soften quickly, so pull out a few at a time, dip in chocolate then continue with the rest.

These no-bake golden Oreo truffles are made with crushed-up Oreos, cream cheese, and a generous white chocolate layer all around. They are the perfect, easy, and quick sweet treat to make for Christmas.

Ingredients 
 

  • 36 Golden Oreos or a 14.3 oz package
  • 8 oz cream cheese softened
  • 15 oz white chocolate or 2 & 1/2 cups
  • 1 tsp flavorless oil coconut, vegetable, or canola
  • Extra Oreos or sprinkles for decorating

Instructions 

  • Pulse the Oreos in a food processor until fine and crumbly. You will want to crush cookies and fillings as well.
  • Transfer the Oreo crumbs to a stand mixer bowl or a regular large bowl, add in the softened cream cheese and mix to combine. You will get a soft dough from this mixture.
  • Roll 30 equally sized truffle balls, place them on a parchment-lined baking sheet, and freeze for 30-60 minutes or until the balls are solid. This will help keep the truffles intact as you dip them in chocolate, don't skip this step!
  • Melt the chocolate and oil in a medium bowl in the microwave in 30-second increments, stirring in between each time.
