Ingredients for this Cookies and Cream Muddy Buddies Recipe

• Chex Cereal: I used Rice Chex cereal for this recipe. But feel free to use Corn Chex for a different flavor or Wheat Chex for a firmer texture and crunch.
• Oreo Cookies: You will need 15 in total. 10 will be finely crushed, and the rest chopped into bite sized pieces.
• White Chocolate Chips: Or white melting chocolate.
• Milk Chocolate Chips: You could use semi-sweet chocolate chips for a little less sweetness or dark chocolate chips for a less sweetness.
• Vanilla Extract: always goes well in chocolate-flavored desserts as it enhances the chocolate flavor itself.
• Powdered Sugar: to add a touch of sweetness and color balance.

How to make this Cookies and Cream Muddy Buddies Recipe

1. Add the white chocolate chips to a large bowl and melt in the microwave in 30 second increments stirring in between each time. Repeat the same process with the milk chocolate.
2. Divide Chex cereal and add half to the melted white chocolate bowl and the other half to the melted milk chocolate bowl. Toss with a spatula until the cereal is completely coated.
3. Grab 2 large gallon Ziploc bags and add the powdered sugar in each one. Add 1/4 of the crushed Oreo amount into one and 3/4 of the crushed Oreos in the other.
4. Add the white chocolate coated Chex mix cereal to the Ziplock bag with less crushed Oreos and add the milk chocolate Chex Cereal into the bag that has more Oreo crumbs. We are doing this to create a contrast of color. Seal the bags and shake well to coat.
5. Spread the Cookies and Cream Muddy Buddies on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, add in the chopped-up pieces of leftover Oreos then mix the two flavors together. Allow them to cool and set.
