- Preheat the oven to 350F then line a large baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside.
- Mix all the dry ingredients in a small medium bowl. Make sure to sift the flour and cocoa powder if you need to.
- In a small bowl melt the chocolate chips and butter together in the microwave in 30-second increments. Make sure to stir in between every time to keep that mixture from burning.
- While the butter and chocolate are melting, whip on high speed the egg, vanilla extract, and both sugars in a whisk attachment or in a regular bowl using a hand mixer. Whip it for about 5 minutes or until the mixture is lighter in color and airy.
- Add the melted chocolate mixture to the egg mixture and gently fold. Once that’s incorporated, add in the dry mixture and fold just until combined.

- ¼ cup brown sugar
- ¼ cup granulated sugar
- ½ teaspoon vanilla extract

- Start by preheating the oven to 350F then line a large baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat.
