Tips and Tricks for the best results
One of my favorite tricks for getting the creamiest texture every time is this! After the first spin, remove the pint container from the Ninja creami bowl, close the lid, and run the outside of the container under hot water for 10-20 seconds.
This helps melt that super frozen outer layer just a bit befor eyou re-spin giving you the smoothest, silkiest ice cream ever!

Frequently asked questions – FAQ
Can I use frozen strawberries instead of fresh?
Yes! Frozen strawberries will work great. Just make sure to let them thaw slightly before blending so that they’re easier to process with the cottage cheese!
Do I need to use full-fat cottage cheese?
You don’t have to! But full fat or 2% cottage cheese will give you a much creamier, and richer texture. The fat-free or low-fat cottage cheese can make the ice cream slightly icier but with the Ninja Creami blending power, the final result will be delicious regardless! (not sponsored, I just love it!)
What if my ice cream turns out crumbly?
That’s totally normal, you can just use the re-spin cycles once or twice until your ice cream is smooth and creamy! Another thing I love doing is close my pint container and run the sides under hot water for 10-20 second to help melt that icy outer layer before respinning.
Can I blend directly in the Ninja Creami Container?
Yes! You can use an immersion blender to blend everything in the Deluxe container. Just be sure to blend until completely smooth and keep the mixture below the max fill line.
Is this ninja creami strawberry cottage cheese ice cream recipe high in protein?
Absolutely! The cottage cheese adds a good dose of protein naturally, and you can even stir in a scoop or vanilla or strawberry protein powder in there before blending to increase the protein content in this sweet treat.
Can I make this without any added sugar?
Yes! You can use sweeteners like monk fruit (wha tI used here), allulose, or even stevia to taste. You could also just skip the sweetener if your strawberries are super ripe and sweet.
How do I store leftovers of this recipe?
For easy storage, you can just leave the ice cream in the Ninja Creami pint container and keep it in the freezer. It should last for about a month or two.
What mix-ins can I add to this ice cream?
Once you get that creamy texture after the first or second spin, make a well in the center of your ice cream and add it one of these mix-ins:
- Chopped strawberries or Strawberry jam swirls.
- Crushed graham crackers or shortbread cookies for a strawberry cheesecake ice cream
- Mini chocolate chips or chocolate-coated strawberries.
