Ingredients for This is the best Crumbl chocolate strawberry cheesecake cookies
Here are the ingredients you will need to make this cookie recipe. Make sure to scroll down to the recipe card for the full detailed ingredient measurements.
- Butter– You can use salted or unsalted butter just make sure it’s softened.
- Brown sugar & granulated sugar– This cookie uses a mixture of brown and granulated sugar to get that perfect cookie textures.
- Egg- The egg is the binding agent of these cookies.
- Vanilla extract – The vanilla extract is used in both the cookie dough as well as the frosting.
- Flour– AP flour work great for this recipe.
- Corn starch- This will make our cookies more tender.
- Black cocoa powder– To really emulated the Crumbl cookie base, we will be using black cocoa for this recipe.
- Oreo– This recipe doesn’t use a lot of Oreos, just enough to get the base tasting just like a cheesecake crust.
- Baking soda– This will give our cookies the leavening they need.
- Salt- Always use a bit of salt in your cookies to balance out the sweetness.
- Semi sweet chocolate chips- Use really good quality semi sweet chocolate chips to ensure that your cookies are out of this world.
- Cream cheese- Use full fat cream cheese that’s softened.
- Powdered sugar- The powdered sugar will help us sweeten and stabilize our frosting.
- Strawberry jam- The key is to use a really good quality jam that has chunks of strawberries in there or make your own. I used the Bonne Maman one and it works wonders.
Why use black cocoa powder?
When I got the strawberry cheesecake cookie from the Crumbl bakery, their cookie base seemed a bit darker than their regular chocolate cookies. I took it upon myself to look through the ingredients of that recipe on the nutrition tab and noticed dark cocoa and Oreos.
I think what they were going for was truly an Oreo-crusted chocolate base to a strawberry cheesecake so here we are not making this recipe as similar to the original as possible.
Can I use regular cocoa powder for this cookie recipe?
Absolutely!
If you don’t have black or dark cocoa, you can use regular cocoa or dutch processed cocoa powder. I’ve made this recipe with all of those options and they turned out just as good.
I personally love the dutch processed one.

Made this because we wanted a pink cookie to bring to a showing of the Barbie movie. This was a hit with all the guests and we were asked to keep this recipe for a future movie night. Also made a batch for someone who asked for the recipe because the frosting especially was such a great flavor.

5 stars as usual! There are a few details missing from the recipe like using softened butter and cream cheese, and when to add the powdered sugar in the frosting. I’ve made enough of your recipes to be able to figure it out. Anyway, these cookies are so soft, I loved the addition of chocolate chips. And the frosting, INSANE. I didn’t go to Crumbl for this cookie because I wanted to make these, and I had all the ingredients already on hand! I would make these again!!
