5-ingredient nectarine flat bread appetizer

Nothing beats ripe nectarines in my opinion… with peaches being a close second. that light, fresh, and fruity fragrance bring back all the feels.

For today’s recipe I was going for something a whole lot different from what I usually post. But something I absolutely love eating! First off, it’s savory instead of all the sweet recipes I post and second, well, it’s a fancy hosting recipe….

Or just a recipe to make as a treat yourself meal from time to time 🙂

Something about myself is that I am totally obsessed with Italian style appetizers as well as any and all cheeses! I was just telling Kyle that I am probably made out of 35% cheese and the rest water… LOL

But seriously though, I can eat these flatbread apps anytime and feel a thousand times better because this my way of doing self care.

Also, something you might not know about me yet, I am a sweet and salty recipe type of gal. Put some cheese on a cracker and top that with honey or jam and I’m happy. Hence this recipe 🙂

This is the best nectarine flatbread appetizer with ricotta cheese recipe ever!

When I say that these are the best I truly mean it! The creaminess of the ricotta, the sweetness of the nectarines and honey, as well as the crunchy savory sea salt flakes make this oh so delicious. The best part is that this summer appetizer recipe only requires 5-ingredients and can be made in less than 15 minutes!

I often find myself making it for a quick summer dinner recipe or a late lunch… Pretty much this recipe works for any time of the day if you ask me!

Summer appetizer recipe with stone fruit

What’s so special about this easy summer appetizer

I am obsessed with this nectarine flat bread app because it has so many perks to it! Some of those might be:

  • This is an easy recipe that you can make as a quick lunch, a quick dinner, appetizer or even to entertain a large crowd. ( just make sure to make more than one of course!
  • It is a recipe that can be easily thrown together in less than 15 minutes.
  • 5-ingredient recipe, hello!!
  • It is a very versatile recipe. Don’t have nectarines? Try peaches or pears!

Ingredients for this nectarine flatbread appetizer

To make this insanely easy, incredible delicious flat bread recipe, you will need:

  • Flatbread: I used the Stonefire organic flatbread.
  • Ricotta cheese– You can use either low fat or regular ricotta cheese.
  • Nectarines– Aim for ripe nectarines to accentuate the flavors of that stone fruit.
  • Salt and pepper– Freshly cracked pepper and flaky sea salt are the best for this recipe.
  • Fresh thyme – I prefer using fresh thyme for this recipe, but if you really can’t find some use a tiny bit of dried thyme. Keep in mind that the dried thyme is a lot stronger that fresh thyme so don’t use as much.
  • Honey– You will need a little honey to drizzle it on top of the baked flat bread appetizer.

What is stone fruit?

For the longest time, I had no clue why certain fruits were called stone fruits. I knew that peaches and apricots and nectarines and many more fell under that category but I was not sure of the reason.

Now, after doing some research, I realized that the answer was so simple… They are called stone fruits because the seed/pit on the inside resembles a stone. Some other examples of stone fruits are:

  • Peaches
  • Plums
  • Dates
  • Cherries
  • Mangoes (who even knew this was a stone fruit!!)

This summer appetizer recipe is so so easy! I have made it so many times to the point where my friends and family requests it whenever nectarines are in season. If you want to make this but nectarines are not in season, you can always go with figs, berries, or even pears!

If you’re as obsessed with Chick-fil-A’s Frosted Lemonade as I am… you need to try this homemade version. It’s ridiculously creamy, tangy, sweet, and SO refreshing — made with just a few ingredients you already have at home. 🍋🍦

Sometimes you just need dessert.
Not a full-blown, pile-of-dishes, bake-for-an-hour situation…
Just something warm, gooey, chocolatey — fast.
That’s exactly why I made this brownie mug cake.

No fancy ingredients.
No baking skills required.
Just a mug, a microwave, and 5 minutes.

I’ve been making this whenever that random 8 p.m. craving hits and it always hits the spot.
Fudgy, rich, perfectly sweet — it’s like a personal hug in dessert form.

Cookies and Cream Muddy Buddies…
aka the snack mix you didn’t know you needed until now. 😵‍💫

This stuff is dangerously good.
Crispy Chex cereal, melted chocolate, Oreo crumbs, and powdered sugar all come together in the most chaotic, beautiful way. 🤌🏼

Here’s the best part—
we coat half in milk chocolate and half in white chocolate for that perfect cookies and cream swirl.
Then we throw in crushed and chopped Oreos to really push it over the edge. 🙃
Sweet, crunchy, and addicting doesn’t even begin to cover it.

This is the kinda snack you make for “the kids”…
and then eat half the bowl yourself before anyone notices. No regrets.

Make a batch. Thank me later.

If your dad grew up on Cosmic Brownies, this cookie is the move.
Chewy, fudgy, and topped with that glossy ganache and rainbow crunch—
it’s the kind of last-minute dessert that looks like you planned it all week.
✨ No chill time, no fuss. Just chocolatey nostalgia in every bite.

If you’re the type who dreams in espresso and could eat ice cream year-round…
This one’s for you ☕🍦

This homemade espresso ice cream is rich, creamy, and bold with coffee flavor. like a frozen latte you can scoop. Made with real egg yolks for that custard-style texture, it’s smooth, scoopable, and honestly better than anything you’d find at the store.

✨ No fancy espresso machine needed—just instant espresso powder and a little time.

Here’s what makes it amazing:
– Custard base = ultra creamy
– Bold espresso flavor without being bitter
– A pinch of salt to balance it all out

Let it chill overnight (trust me), churn it, and freeze. The result? That perfect “pull-a-scoop-out-after-dinner” moment.

Save this for when your ice cream cravings strike ☕👀

These pecan chocolate chip cookie bars are dangerously soft and chewy 🍪✨
And the secret ingredient?
→ Corn syrup. Yup, that underrated pantry staple you probably only reach for around the holidays.

Corn syrup keeps these cookie bars super moist, soft in the middle, and gives them that magical bend-but-don’t-break chewiness that makes you go back for “just one more square.”

🍫 But don’t worry, if you don’t have corn syrup, you can swap it with:
• maple syrup (adds a little flavor twist)
• honey (sweeter and softer texture)
• or even golden syrup if you’re feeling fancy.

But if you want THE texture, trust the corn syrup 👌

Plus, the toasted pecans add a subtle crunch that makes these so good, I almost didn’t want to share.

Peanut butter + chocolate = the ultimate power couple. 💪🏼🍫

If you love Buckeyes but hate the whole “roll-each-ball-by-hand” situation, these Buckeye Bars are about to be your new favorite thing.

✔️ No rolling.
✔️ Big batch-friendly.

This lemon loaf is bright, fluffy, and full of sunshine. 🌞🍋
It’s the kind of bake that makes your whole kitchen smell like summer.

The secret?
We rub the lemon zest into the sugar to release all those citrus oils—it makes a difference.

Then we mix it up with sour cream (or Greek yogurt!) to keep it ultra-moist and soft.

Drizzle it with a tangy lemon glaze, let it set, then slice into pure lemony joy. ✨

It’s perfect for brunch, a little afternoon pick-me-up, or even gifting to someone you love.
(Just make two loaves so you’re not sad giving one away.)
