Ingredients

  • 12 oz fresh or frozen rhubarb 2½ cups
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • Pinch of salt optional, but enhances flavor

Instructions

  • Add rhubarb, salt, water, and sugar to a medium saucepan. Let sit for 5–10 minutes to help soften the frozen fruit.

  • Simmer over medium heat for 10–15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the rhubarb breaks down and the sauce thickens.
