  • 2 tablespoon Brown sugar
  • teaspoon cinnamon

Apple crisp syrup

Starbucks apple crisp macchiato

  • 2 tablespoon Apple crisp syrup
  • ¾ Cup 2% milk Can use any milk you'd like
  • 1 Espresso shot
  • 2 tablespoon Apple Crisp drizzle

Make the brown sugar apple syrup

  • Place the sliced apple in a medium sauce pan, top them with brown sugar, cinnamon, vanilla extract, apple juice and water.
  • Bring to a boil over medium heat then reduce to medium-low heat and simmer for 15 minutes. Remove from the heat and add in the apple flavoring, and stir
  • Let the syrup cool down fully then strain.

Make the apple crisp drizzle sauce

  • Place the apple juice, brown sugar, and cinnamon in a medium saucepan.
  • Bring to a boil and reduce to simmer until the apple juice has reduced by about a little over ¾ of the original amount. You should have about ⅓-1/2 cup of syrup left. On medium high heat, this took about 25-30 minutes for me.
  • Let the syrup cool down to room temperature. To speed up this process, pour the syrup into a shallow bowl to increase the cooling surface. It will thicken as it cools down and becomes almost like a caramel sauce or syrup.

Build your Starbucks apple crisp drink.

  • To a cup of ice add in the milk, 2 tablespoons of the brown sugar apple syrup (use 3 tablespoons if you want it sweeter).
  • Top it with the freshly brewed espresso and drizzle with 2 tablespoons of apple crisp sauce, give it a good stir after taking a picture for the gram and enjoy!

My apple crisp drizzle syrup reduced too much and now it's sold after I chilled it, what should I do?
If the syrup reduced too much, you can add a few tablespoons of apple juice and bring to a simmer again to combine it then remove from heat and cool down again.
To make this drink hot, pour steamed milk in a glass, add in the apple syrup, espresso shot, and the apple crisp drizzle and enjoy!
