Gradually add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture and mix until just combined. Stir in the oats.
Using a large cookie scooper ( 1/4 cup) scoop the cookie dough and and place it on the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown. Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
Make the Glaze:
In a small bowl, whisk together the powdered sugar, melted butter, and maple syrup. Add milk, one tablespoon at a time, until you reach your desired consistency.
1 cup powdered sugar, 1 tablespoons unsalted butter, 2 tablespoons pure maple syrup, 1-2 tablespoons milk
Drizzle the maple glaze over the cooled cookies or dip the top of each cookie into the glaze, allow it to drip a little before placing it back onto the pam. Let the glaze set before serving.
