In a mixing bowl, cream together the peanut butter and softened butter until smooth.
3/4 cup creamy peanut butter, 1/2 cup unsalted butter
Add the salt then gradually add the powdered sugar, mixing well after each addition, until fully incorporated.
1 & 1/2 cup powdered sugar, 1/4 teaspon salt
Add the vanilla extract and 1 tablespoon of milk or cream. Mix until smooth. If the frosting is still too thick add the second tablespoon of milk of cream and mix again.
2 tablespoons milk or cream, 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
If the icing is still too thick according to your preference, add more milk or cream, 1 teaspoon at a time, until you reach your desired consistency.
Use the icing to frost cupcakes, cakes, or cookies. Enjoy!
