Cinnamon baked apple slices
This easy-baked apple recipe is perfectly spiced with cinnamon and nutmeg and comes together with very minimal work. It tastes great with greek yogurt, oatmeal, or even a giant scoop of vanilla ice cream!

- 4 tablespoon butter divided, some to coat the pan and the rest, drizzled on the apples before baking.
- 4-5 medium apple Cored, peeled, and thinly sliced. You can use Gala apples, Honey Crisp apples, or a mix of one of the two previous ones and Granny Smith apples.
- 3 tablespoon brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- ¼ teaspoon nutmeg
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon corn starch
- 2 tablespoon lemon juice
Preheat the oven to 375F then coat the 9x13 baking dish with butter and set aside.
In a large bowl, toss the sliced apples, with brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, salt, corn starch, and lemon juice until everything is well coated.
Transfer to the baking dish, cover with foil and bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes.
Remove the foil, mix the apples, stir the apples to cover them in the butter-sugar sauce, and bake for another 5-10 minutes. Check the doneness of the apples at 5 minutes and see if they're at the right texture for you.
Once you pull the apples out of the oven, stir them to coat them in the sauce again, and enjoy!
