This is one of the best and fastest appetizers you'll ever make. It isn't hands on either so it's a win win! Change up the toppings depending on your likings and you'll have a different baked brie appetizer every time.
Unwrap the brie and place it in a shallow oven-safe dish, or on a baking sheet lined with crumpled parchment paper. Crumpling the paper keeps the cheese from going everywhere while it bakes.
1 Brie round
Bake an 8 oz brie round for 12 to 15 minutes, or a 1 lb brie round for 20 to 25 minutes. Gently press the center to check: it's ready when it feels really soft.
Gently transfer it to a plate and top with the cranberry sauce, chopped pecans, and thyme leaves. Serve immediately with toasted bread and crackers and enjoy!
1/2 cup Cranberry sauce, 1/3 cup pecans, thyme leaves
Notes
Crumple the parchment: scrunch it up, then flatten it onto the pan. It cradles the brie so it doesn't slide, and it catches any cheese that leaks.Microwave method: place the unwrapped brie in a microwave-safe dish and microwave on high for 2 minutes. Do this in 30-second increments to make sure you're not overdoing it.Storage: wrap leftovers in foil and refrigerate for up to 3 days. Reheat at 300°F for about 5 minutes.
