Ingredients

  • 2 cup AP flour
  • 1 tablespoon corn starch
  • 2 & ½ tablespoon granulated sugar
  • 2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 & ¾ cup buttermilk
  • ½ cup butter melted, salted or unsalted
  • 2 eggs at room temperature
  • 2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  • Mix the flour, corn starch, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt together in a large bowl.
  • Whisk the melted butter, buttermilk, eggs, and vanilla together in a medium bowl.
  • Pour the wet ingredients over the dry ingredients and whisk just until combined. Don't over mix.
  • Preheat the waffle iron while the batter is resting for a few minutes.
  • Spray the waffle iron with non stick cooking spray if necessary. then pour the batter into the waffle iron and cook according to manufacturer's directions or until the steam stops.
  • Serve with fresh fruit and maple syrup!
