Brownies With Cake Mix

This is a delicious brownie recipe made using chocolate cake mix and 4 other ingredients. It comes together in less than an hour and is so delicious that people won't be able to tell it was made using cake mix!

Ingredients

  • 1 box betty crocker cake mix
  • ¼ cup butter melted
  • 1 egg room temperature
  • ⅓ cup heavy whipping cream room temperature
  • 1 cup semi sweet chocolate chips or morsels

Instructions

  • first, preheat the oven to 350F, then spray an 8" by 8" baking pan with baking spray and line with parchment paper. This will make pulling the brownie out much easier!
  • In large bowl, add in the melted butter, heavy whipping cream and egg, and beat together until well incorporated.

  • Sift the chocolate cake mix into the butter mixture then mix everything with a spatula.

  • add in the chocolate chips or chunks and mix again.

  • Spread the batter into the prepared baking pan using a spatula and bake for 25-27 minutes or until a tooth pick inserted in the center comes out clean.

  • Allow to cool completely before cutting into the brownie. Cut into 9 large square pieces of 16 smaller pieces.

Notes

Make sure to use good quality chocolate. I always stress the fact that you want to use good quality chocolate in your baked goods because that's what will give this brownie its richness!
