Peanut butter chocolate rice krispy treats
Ready to take your regular rice Krispy treats up a notch with this chocolate peanut butter combo. It is easy to make and tastes incredible.
Servings: 16 bars
- 2 & 1/2 cups large marshmallows
- 2 tbsp butter melted
- 2 tbsp peanut butter melted
- 3 cup rice krispies
First start by lining an 8x8 inch baking pan with parchment paper then set aside.
In a large bowl start by melting the marshmallows in the microwave for 30-60 seconds or until fully melted. Add in the melted butter and melted peanut butter and stir until combined. Add in the rice krispies and gently fold until fully coated. Pour the mixture into the prepared pan and gently flatten into a firm layer using a rubber spatula.
Peanut butter chocolate topping
Add in the chocolate chips and the peanut butter into a medium microwave safe bowl and microwave in 30 second increments until fully melted. Pour the melted chocolate over the rice krispy treats and gently spread using a spatula. Sprinkle with the toasted peanuts, then refrigerate for 30 minutes to an hour or until the chocolate is fully set.
Cut 16 equal squares and enjoy!
