Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat.
In a heatproof bowl, melt the chocolate using one of the following methods:
12 ounces high-quality milk chocolate or dark chocolate
Microwave: Heat the chocolate in 30-second intervals, stirring between each interval until fully melted.
Double boiler: Place the chocolate in a heatproof bowl over a pot of simmering water, stirring until melted.
Once the chocolate is smooth and melted, let it cool slightly. Stir in the broken pretzel pieces and dry roasted peanuts into the melted chocolate. Make sure they are evenly coated.

Pour the chocolate mixture onto the prepared baking sheet and spread it out into an even layer with a spatula.
Sprinkle the Christmas-themed M&M candies over the chocolate mixture. Press them lightly into the chocolate. Add some sprinkles on top if using.

Allow the bark to cool and set at room temperature or place it in the refrigerator for about 30-45 minutes until fully hardened.
Once the bark is set, break it into pieces using your hands or a knife.
