Ingredients

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350F then line a 9x13-inch pan with parchment paper and set aside. For thicker brownies, you can bake your brownies in an 8x8-inch pan or a 9x9-inch pan according to the instructions on the box.
  • In a large bowl combine the brownie mix, oil, coffee, and the egg and whisk until combined. Pour into the prepared baking pan and bake in the preheated oven for 20 minutes.
1 box brownies, ½ cup oil, ⅓ cup hot coffee, 1 egg
  • Allow the brownies to cool down fully before using a football cookie cutter and cutting your brownies into football-shaped brownies. You can use a small football cookie cutter or a larger one depending on preference.
  • If they are soft, place them on a parchment-lined cookie sheet then put them in the freezer for 10-15 minutes to make them easier to handle.
  • In a medium bowl add the chocolate chips and top that with the hot heavy cream that you microwave for 30-45 seconds. We want it hot but not boiling.
1 cup chocolate chips, ⅓ cup heavy cream
  • Allow that to sit together covered for a few minutes then whisk the chocolate mixture to combine and create a smooth chocolate ganache.
  • Dip the top of the brownies in the warm chocolate ganache then place back in the baking sheet. Repeat until done. Place in the fridge while you melt the white chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl in 30-second increments. Stir in between to keep the chocolate from burning.
    ⅓ cup white chocolate chips
  • Transfer the white chocolate to a piping bag with the tip cut off or a ziplock bag with the tip cut off and make the football design indentation with the melted white chocolate. Allow the brownies to sit in the fridge to set before servings.

Notes

What should I do with the brownie edge scraps?

You can use those to snack on, use on top of ice cream or even make brownie milkshake with those!
