Croissant French Toast Bake

This croissant french toast is easy to make and tastes absolutely incredible. It is the best way to use up your day old croissants too!

Ingredients

  • 4 large day old croissants Torn into smaller pieces
  • 4 large eggs at room temperature
  • ¾ cup milk at room temperature
  • ¼ cup heavy cream at room temperature
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • 2 tablespoon butter melted
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • ½ teaspoon cinnamon
  • ½ teaspoon salt

Instructions

  • First, start by preheating your oven to 350F then prepare a 9 inch pie plate by spreading butter all over it and set aside.
  • In a medium bowl, whisk the eggs, milk, heavy cream, granulated sugar, melted butter, vanilla, cinnamon and salt together.
  • Add the torn up croissant pieces to the bowl of custard and gently fold the mixture until all the croissant pieces are soaked with our custard. Transfer the croissant mixture into your buttered pan before baking.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 35-40 minutes or until the edges are golden brown and the center is set.
  • Remove the croissant french toast bake from the oven and let it cool down for 10 minutes before serving. Top your french toast bake with powdered sugar, berries, creme fraiche or whipped cream, and maple syrup and enjoy!

Notes

If you would like to make this croissant french toast bake ahead of time, follow the instructions until #3, now instead of baking it, wrap it with plastic wrap and place it in the fridge overnight. This is great if you want to have an awesome breakfast almost ready waiting for you in the morning. 
In the morning, remove the plastic wrap, and bake your croissant french toast in a 350degrees preheated oven for 35-45 minutes, or until the center is set.
