When it comes to goals for 2020, we all have them but we don’t always follow through with them. That’s why this year, I would like to write 4-5 goals that I want to work on each month. This will allow me to stay accountable and share my journey with you guys!
2020 is right around the corner. Crazy how time has flown by this last decade. To make the best of the few months to come, I wanted to throw you guys a challenge.
Make a list of 4-5 things you want to achieve by the end of January and comment them bellow.
If you are comfortable with that of course 😉
We will then come back to our lists by the end of January and will discuss how everything went. If you were or weren’t able to achieve your goals, what helped you along the way, and what you can do differently!
How to set goals and achieve them too!!
Setting goals is cool and all but if you do not achieve them then what was that all about?! Some of the tips I have to help you achive your January 2020 goals are:
- Decide to start! We often get stuck in the thinking part of setting goals and achieving them during January of 2020 but that’s not the whole battle. The battle would be to start working on your goals this January.
- Write your January 2020 goals down! Writing down your goals puts you that much closer to achieving them.
- Have someone to keep you accountable! This is a great technique because it makes your goal that much of a bigger deal. It becomes a goal for you as well as the person you shared it with, so automatically you will work harder to not let everyone you shared it with down.
- Plan your steps- This is something I have done below. After each goal I set for this January I wrote how I am planning on achieving it. This takes away the confusion and frustration of not knowing what to do next.
Eat more veggies
I say this not because I don’t usually eat enough but because I have been so busy and stuck in the kitchen baking cookies for the past couple of months that I stopped taking care of myself. I would have a couple of cookies for breakfast, lick chocolate off of my fingers for lunch and by the end of the day I am totally drained and exhausted.
When I don’t eat real and whole foods, I find myself getting extremely tired fast. Trust me that’s not something you ever want to feel, it kinda sucks. That’s why I will incoporate more whole foods into my diet A.K.A. more veggies to start with.
To achieve this goal I will keep a log of what veggies I consume in a day. This will help me stay on track and accountable to myself!
Also, I had an idea of trying to post healthier meals on Lifestyle of a foodie from time to time. Let me know what you think and if you’d like that. I already have some healthy recipes on here, check them out if you’d like
Do the 3X3 meditation method
I have been sick for the past 2-3 yers with no doctor being able to figure out what it is that is making me feel so bad. You can only imagine how frustrating that feeling is… You go to a professinal and try to explain your situation and they don’t relate the dots or completely dismiss you.
This year I want t otry something a bit different, meditation. I have done it before, and each time I do it I feel better mentally which in turns leads to feeling better physically.
The goal here is to follow the 3×3 method of meditation. This technique was developed by Dina Proctor. This method consists of spending three minutes doing the guided meditation three times a day. You visualize your body healing itself and try and focus on the positive aspects of life rather than the negative.
I will aim to do this right as I wake up, after lunch, and right before I go to sleep.
The coolest part about this is that the meditation is only 3 minutes so I don’t want to hear any excuses! If you want to feel better and are out of options, try this with me 🙂

Optimize the SEO of 4 older articles
One of my goals for January 2020 is to optimize at least 4 older posts. For the past couple of months, I have been workin a lot of creating SEO friendly recipes. So I have started seeing a good amount of growth coming from there. Now I would like to go back to my older recipes and do the same.
That way they will eventually rank up higher in google and bring in more traffic.
I am aiming to do once per week, hence the “optimize 4 posts this month” idea. This should give me ample time to bring you at least 2 new recipes per week as well. So I hope you are excited!
Declutter, declutter, declutter
I have started decluttering my room and kitchen a couple of weeks ago. But I then stopped doing it. I have a feeling that it was because of the mentally draining aspect of it. When you have to sit there and think about if you want to keep or toss something, it can be awfully hard for some of us!
I personally am one of those people that have emotional attachment to stuff. I will always find a reason as to why I am keeping certain things but I am working on changing that.
To achieve this goals, I will be trying to declutter for 10 minutes 5 days a week! This seems like an achievable goal because I am giving myself 2 days off per week. So if I am ever too busy or just don’t feel like doing it that day I won’t feel too bad. The rest of the 5 days will keep me accountable to do what I said I would do!
Make sure to keep your goals for 2020 measurable, achievable, and go into this new year with a plan!
I am really looking forward to what your goals are going to be for the next month,. so don’t forget to share them bellow!
